We got our first peek at a listing for the rumored Galaxy S23 Ultra sporting the SM-S918U model number a few days after the Galaxy S23 Geekbench scores surfaced. According to the updated Geekbench listing, the S23 Ultra has a 1+2+2+3 CPU arrangement with a prime core clocked at 3.6GHz, an unidentified chipset with the same “Kalama” motherboard identification, and additional hardware. According to previous speculations, this is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC listed on Geekbench for the Galaxy S23 (SM-S911U).
The test device achieved a multi-core score of 4,689 points and an exceptional single-core score of 1,521 points. For comparison, the Galaxy S22 Ultra with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 has a maximum score of 1,200 and 3,200 points, respectively. The test device is now listed with 8GB RAM, however, it is fair to infer that the retail devices will have at least 12GB RAM. Additionally, we are informed that the phone is running Android 13 with OneUI 5 on top.
It is unclear if Samsung would also sell Galaxy S23 models with Exynos SoCs since earlier speculations said that all 2023 S-series phones would utilize Qualcomm SoCs, but more recent claims claim that Exynos processors are still a possibility.
